2026 Summer Reading Challenge

How to Participate:

We are excited to reintroduce our Summer Reading Challenge! Our theme is OUR STORIES MATTER! We are responsible for ensuring our story is not erased. Let's keep it alive by reading and sharing. 

The  challenge is to read  books from the 11 categories to earn points. There will be three age groups and the top three to earn the most points from each age group will receive a prize. There will also be opportunities to earn bonus points.  

There is a broad range of categories so you can read what you enjoy and those that may be outside of your typical reading comfort zone!*

We encourage you to visit your public library. Check out books and be sure to access them electronically too.  As you will see, some titles can be used in several different categories, but will only be counted once. 

The goal of the Challenge is to expose us to our story so we can know and understand that OUR STORIES MATTER!  Our literary tradition is beautiful as well.

Deadline: Friday, July 31st!    - The Challenge ends.
